Real Hair Wigs

There are different grades of hair. The highest grade comes from young donors, is gently processed, and is of "Remy" designation. Remy means the hair's cuticles are intact and are facing the direction in which they grew. Non Remy hair does tend to be more popular and easily available. However the roots and tips of the hair are mixed up and as a result the hair is prone to tangling.

High quality 100% human hair is more expensive than hair mixed with other materials (synthetic hair is most common).

The highest quality extension hair, "virgin hair", is hair that has often never been processed.

A reason for choosing real hair over synthetic is that it can be coloured, and heated styling appliances can be used on it just as you would use with growing hair.
